Trong quý 2 năm nay, BNP cho rằng giá vàng sẽ ở mức trung bình 1.670 USD, quý 3 là 1.710 USD và quý 4 khoảng 1.780 USD/ounce.
Ngân hàng BNP Paribas vừa điều chỉnh giảm dự báo giá vàng trong năm 2012, nhưng vẫn giữ quan điểm giá sẽ lập kỷ lục trong năm 2013 với kỳ vọng Mỹ sẽ tung ra chương trình kích thích kinh tế mới.
Như vậy, chỉ trong 2 ngày, đã có 2 ngân hàng lớn hạ dự báo giá vàng. Hôm qua 1/5, HSBC cũng giảm dự báo giá vàng vì e ngại về nhu cầu ở Ấn Độ và khả năng có gói nới lỏng định lượng mới ở Mỹ ngày càng mong manh.
Theo ngân BNP Paribas, năm 2012, giá vàng sẽ đạt bình quân 1.715 USD/ounce và lên 1.960 USD/ounce vào năm 2013. Dự báo đưa ra hôm nay thấp hơn lần lượt 140 USD và 265 USD/ounce so với dự báo trước đây.
Trong quý 2 năm nay, BNP cho rằng giá vàng sẽ ở mức trung bình 1.670 USD, quý 3 là 1.710 USD và quý 4 khoảng 1.780 USD/ounce. Hiện giá vàng đang ở quanh 1.660 USD/ounce và đã tăng gần 8% kể từ đầu năm.
BNP lý giải, cuộc họp của Ủy ban Thị trường mở của Fed cuối tuần trước đã hé lộ khả năng kích thích kinh tế. Nhưng chính sách tiền tệ nới lỏng hơn nữa có thể được thực hiện vào khoảng quý 4/2012, thay vì dự kiến tháng 6 như trước.
Động thái hỗ trợ thị trường đầu tiên có thể đến vào tháng 10, dưới dạng cam kết kéo dài thời gian duy trì lãi suất ở mức gần 0 đến cuối năm 2014 giữa 2015. Tiếp đó là việc mở rộng chương trình Operation Twist vào khoảng tháng 12/2012. Trước đó, ngân hàng này dự báo Fed sẽ mở rộng gói Operation Twist vào khoảng tháng 6 năm nay.
BNP Paribas cũng giảm dự báo giá bạc năm nay xuống còn 33,1 USD/ounce, từ mức 37,5 USD đưa ra trước đây, và năm 2012 xuống còn 43 USD, từ 51 USD dự báo cũ.
